The District’s water budget-based tiered rate structure for single-family residential customers is based on a generous allocation of water for estimated indoor and outdoor water needs. However, customers may have special circumstances that require an adjustment in their water budget allocation.
Customers may apply for a variance under one or more of the following categories:
- Number of People per Household
- Child/Adult/Elder Care Facility
- Medical Needs
- Irrigated Landscape Area
- Establishment of New or Rehabilitated Landscaping
- Livestock and Large Animals
- Pool Refilling
- Leaks
- Other
In order to apply for a variance, complete and sign an Application for Water Budget Variance and return it by hand or by mail to the District’s Customer Service Department.
